What is Network Time Server ?
Network
Time Server is a server application included in Network
Time System package that is used for setting up and running
dedicated time server on the enterprise network. It is capable
of time synchronization with external sources (Internet time servers
or local trusted time sources such as GPS, clock cards, etc.). The server
allows workstation client software to synchronize time with enterprise
network time server thus creating sophisticated time synchronization
system for effective time synchronization.
As time server, Network Time Server will itself
provide time services to other computers using Simple Network Time protocols
(SNTP - RFC-2030) or Time Protocols (RFC-868). It can be configured
to full Time protocols (RFC-868) or SNTP protocols (RFC-2030) compliance,
including server support
. You can synchronize your Windows, Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, etc. system
clocks via SNTP protocol, too. Absolute Time Server
normally runs as a standard 32-bit Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows
XP or Windows 2003 application. In Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 system, the
Absolute Time Server can work as a service.
Features:
- Synchronize your PC's system clock or all PC's system clock in
LAN using various time server types commonly available on TCP/IP networks,
such as the Internet or LAN with manual and periodical operating modes.
- Multiple time protocols are supported, include SNTP (RFC-2030),
Time (RFC-868).
- Absolute Time Server is able to work as a time
server so you can synchronize any computer's clock in your
LAN to your PC.
- You can synchronize the Windows, Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, etc. system
clock in your LAN to your PC.
- It can work as a Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 service.
- Support for 5 simultaneous external time sources.
- High precision of time synchronization.
